I did a TON of research about different vacuums before deciding to buy this one. I'm the kind of person to do extensive research before a big purchase and this vacuum hit all my marks. It is a really good vacuum, and I don't regret buying it at all. However, there are both good and bad things about it.I live in an apartment with both hard floors and carpet and I have a cat. I wanted a vacuum that was good on all floors and was good with pet hair. This vacuum is VERY good with pet hair. My cat sheds like crazy. Every time I use this thing, it picks up a lot. It's good with carpet and hard floors but sometimes the wheels don't rotate enough and there's a little bit of scratching on the hard floors. I don't mind it, though. It's not very often and not intense. The vacuum is relatively quiet compared to others I've owned and being so small, it's easy to store. It doesn't get very close to edges or corners but the plethora of add-ons really help with that. Just snap on the thin nozzle and corners are clean. It's pretty lightweight and and I LOVE the switch that keeps the trigger down for you because after holding down on it for ten minutes, my finger starts to hurt. The charging station (see image) works fine on the floor. As a renter, I was worried I'd have to bolt it to a wall. You do not have to. While the small thing is pretty powerful, I'd call this a good apartment vacuum. I don't think I'd use it to clean a whole house, too much space and the battery can run down low easily. I do 5-10 minutes twice a week and after about two weeks it needs recharging. Supposedly there's an app you can get with this vacuum? Haven't touched it. Not necessary. Now, some of the complaints. This vacuum requires *maintenance*. I have long hair and if I don't cut out the hair after a few uses, the vacuum goes nuts with extra suction. In addition, the "dust sensor" essentially just tracks how much suction the vacuum thinks it needs to use to pick up dirt. That being said, I have found this vacuum does NOT work on my bathroom rug or thick carpets which might easily create a suction problem. The entire dust sensor lights up red and the vacuum has a little panic attack. Better on standard or flat carpets or hard floors. DEFINITELY follow all the maintenance and cleaning rules. After having the vacuum about a month, I was wondering why it suddenly using lots more suction and causing a fit. The pre-filter in the vacuum was ridden with dust and needed to be washed, but that's on me. Problem mostly cleared up after that. Definitely empty the dust collector after every use and you may need to reach inside to pull out clumps of hair or fuzz. If the vacuum does have a problem (ie extra suction, not spinning, stuck on floor) I give it a good clean, remove any hair, and turn it off and on. That seems to do the trick.Overall, I like this vacuum and it's good for an apartment with a cat. It's not perfect and a little pricey but splitting it three ways with my roommates makes it worth it. Happy with my purchase!

I needed a cordless vac for the carpeted stairs in my 4 level condo as well as a mini vac for my car or small cleanups. I read tons of reviews and all seemed to have "issues" (too heavy or the on/off button had to be manually depressed at all times, for instance). What they all had in common was a short battery life (30 to 40 minutes), and attachments for mini vac needs, furniture, corners, etc. The newest Consumer Reports magazine had just come out and featured vacuum cleaners. The Tineco Pure One-S11 stick vacuum received its #1 rating, so I ordered one. First of all, it looks like something out of a Star Wars movie and is surprisingly light (I weigh under 100 pounds and have no trouble with it). It is also built to "twist and turn", so very highly maneuverable when on stairs. It has a lock feature that enables you to leave it on without having to keep depressing the on switch. It also has a high suction feature that runs down the battery faster, but is a great option for deep cleans. It is cleverly put together so can be taken apart easily for clean up, though the instructions were a bit confusing to me initially and I had to rely on my intuitive sense (I am not a big techie - maybe not a problem for most people). Customer service is super nice and go out of their way to help and follow up, if needed. The unit looks big when mounted on the wall and charging, but the extra parts can be stored on the base unit (they click on and off to remove), so out of the way. The filter can be removed after each use and put in a little unit and the vacuum cleans it in seconds - so filter is very easy to clean. I have not purchased a 2nd battery yet, but probably will, along with a long, narrow wand that looks like it might go further into hard to reach places. The charging unit has a place on top that will charge another battery after the one in the unit is fully charged. I couldn't believe what it found on my stairs!! Really a deep clean that made me realize how inadequate my lugging around my corded vacuum was. I think the best feature is that when there is a small amount or light dust, the blue light on the top stays blue - when it encounters more dust/dirt, it turns red, meaning you need to stay on that spot for longer until it goes all blue again - extremely cool and very useful. The only downside is probably not limited to Tineco, but battery life is 30 to 40 minutes and it takes 2 to 3 hours to recharge, and while the clean up is made easier by the filter cleaner, you still need to wipe out the inside plastic components, of which some parts are not that easy to get to. But all in all, I love it and my stairs have never been cleaner! I plan on vacuuming furniture next (couches, etc).

The media could not be loaded. I spent a long time wondering if it was really worth the money to get this kind of cordless stick vacuum, and then researching to decide between this Tineco and a Dyson or other options, but I'm glad I chose the Tineco. Ultimately I got the Tineco because I liked that the batteries are removable and replaceable, while the Dyson battery is built in.The ease of use of a cordless, light weight vacuum is so much better than my old corded vacuum, and that alone is almost enough to make it worth the cost, regardless of the other features. You'll pick it up more often because it's way less of a hassle to use - I truly enjoy picking it up for a quick clean, rather than always ignoring the need to vacuum.I had a very narrow spot I was hoping to use to mount the charging station, and it fits in a space less than 6" wide on my wall (without the extra side attachments on the wall mount, which just live in a cabinet right next to it). The main powered head of the vacuum can be rotated to fit into this narrow space too, see photos. It's extremely easy to maneuver, even under low furniture, way less noise than a traditional vacuum (video noise level is somewhat misleading, it's not super loud), all the pieces and parts feel durable and well made, the LEDs really do help show where dirt is that needs to be vacuumed, the app works and reminds you how to open/clean the parts when needed, the lights on the vacuum let you know when it's clogged to empty the bins or clean the filter are helpful. While the actual capacity of the bin isn't overly huge, so it does need to be emptied more frequently, it's an easy habit to get into, and the smaller size is worth it to keep the overall weight manageable.I was worried the automatic suction level wouldn't be a great feature, but it's actually perfect. You see and hear it increase power over dirtier spots or when manually cleaning the internal filter with the attachment. The powered heads seem to pick up dirt well on rugs. I don't have a ton of thick wall to wall carpeting, but it seems to work fine there too. The hard floors attachment works to get finer dirt off hard floors. The little knife/brush they include makes cutting hair out of the rotating heads very easy... I never once did this on my old vacuum because I didn't have that kind of tool, it's a small detail but a very helpful part to have included. If you're sick of your old vacuum and considering a change, I'd encourage you to just go for it and get this thing... once you have it and use it, the cost won't bother you, and you'll probably find yourself telling your friends about it and write freakishly long reviews like this.

  1. I love this vacuum! I had a cordless vacuum years ago that broke, and I was unable to get it replaced. Since then, I have purchased several different cordless vacuums that I have returned because they were either too heavy, suction didn't work very well, or the battery didn't last long. This vacuum is lightweight has many different attachments. I love that I'm able to easily vacuum under all of my furniture. And I can vacuum my whole house with plenty of battery left over. I highly recommend this vacuum if you're looking for a lightweight cordless vacuum. The only downside I see is that it doesn't do very well on carpet. But I purchased this with intention of using it on hard floors and it works great for that!

  2. So to start I have two dogs and a sand driveway so I vacuum once or twice per day. So that being said upon unboxing and using this vacuum I was sure this was the best vacuum I have ever owned but within a couple of weeks the maintenance started. They give you an attachment to clean the filter by vacuuming it clean so the new filter you put in gets just as dirty by the time the dirty one is clean. Doesn't make sense whatsoever so I have ended up using my air compressor and it works like a charm but I'm not joking when I say I have to blow this filter out every week or 2 because it gets clogged so quick and the suction is just not there. The battery life is just ok and recharging takes quite a while. If maintenance is done regularly it has great suction and it's pretty quiet. The led lights are great and help me see the dirt I've missed. I don't like that I have to plug the vacuum in every time and the wall mount it comes with doesn't have a charging port of some sort. I think it is light and easy to use. Overall I like this vacuum but like the title suggests it's kind of like a chore to maintain the vacuum to do my chores and who needs more chores lol

  5. Wow! This vacuum is awesome! As a Dyson user for many, many years, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and power this vacuum offers! My gratitude to the reviewer called 'This guy', I really appreciate the level of detail that reviewer put into the comparison with the Dyson model. First, Dyson is a very good brand, but I had so many issues with its trigger switch that kept breaking, and Dyson does not sell a replacement trigger, so the only alternative it to buy a 3D printed one. After the 3rd time the Dyson switch broke, I started looking for an alternative and read reviews for a few days before deciding on the Tineco. It is well worth it: super quiet, strong suction, easy to clean, lightweight but not cheaply made, fairly long battery life, it is very well designed. I love how the switch powers on the motor, and you don't need to keep holding the trigger switch like the Dyson. After using the Tineco for 6 months now, I can honestly write that it is by far the best cordless vacuum I have ever used. I have the S15 pet model, and with multiple cats in my home, this vacuum can easily keep my floors, furniture and chairs fur free! I highly recommend getting this if you are in the market for a new cordless vacuum, especially if you have multiple pets; it is the ultimate in easy cleaning! I will be buying the spare battery, but that is mainly because with multiple cats, frequent vacuuming is a must. If I could rate this more than 5 stars, I would!

  6. 12/23 - Still loving it (so much so that my mom bought a newer model to replace her Dyson that wouldn't hold a charge and she couldn't purchase replacement battery) but the vacuum head is broken, the rubber wheels eventually broke off in pieces until the were completely gone, and the latch holding it to the shaft/tube has broken and won't stay connected so it's unusable. One of the two plastic pins that is part of the plastic connector that fits in the holes on each side broke off so that's why it won't stay on. I'm not interested in purchasing a whole new vacuum when the rest of it works great. Hopefully I get a response and an able to purchase a replacement head. Will keep you posted. The vacuum isn't very heavy feeling in my hands or in my back, neck and legs. I usually have to switch holding it back and forth because even though it's light, to my body it feels heavy sometimes, which is why it's awesome that you can not only pull the trigger for it to work but flip a switch and it stays on without you having to do anything else. It has a turbo boost that will also stay on if the switch is on. Awesome if you need a little extra suction on an area rug. It also works great on my outdoor "carpet" on my decks. It also will give the regular setting a boost if it senses the area being cleaned is a little more dirty. It has a face on the top that senses when the filter needs to be cleaned and other stuff as well as a light that turns from blue to red if it senses more dirt in an area when vacuuming. There is an app that shows you information going on with your vacuum performance. I installed it, checked it out and then uninstalled it. It's really not essential and does nothing to make its job easier for you to use the vacuum. Checking filter is pretty much a given, isn't it? I don't want pretty bells and whistles, I want a vacuum that kicks @$$, that does what it's supposed to do without breaking the bank. I didn't realize it would come with the filter suction cleaner accessory and I ordered one as well so now I have a spare plus I ordered a couple extra filters. The removable filter tube thingie that holds the filter is so awesome! Put the dirty filter in the cleaner, put a clean filter back in vacuum cleaner, turn it on, turn the dial thingie on the edge of cleaner to turn the filter and between the little brushes inside the tube and the turbo boost you've got a clean filter! Dirt will eventuality pack into the corners of the canister. Just clean it out with some compressed air but make sure you do that outside! The long skinny brush attachment is great for cleaning small or tight places you couldn't get by hand and to clean out bugs from inbetween the screen and window when cleaning windows. It's also the best at cleaning your heating/air duct area under your vents. It then gives you no excuse to not clean the vent covers since they're off anyway! Just be careful and don't forget the vent cover is off and fall into it with your foot and leg like I've done more times than I've got legs! The short brush attachment that has a larger sized opening (different then I've ever seen before!) and it's great from everything to dusting collectibles, dusting ceiling fans and the air return vent cover! Only thing is extra batteries were sold out (the wall caddy that holds/charges the vacuum and some, though not all accessories, has a space for an extra battery as well!!) so I guess I need to check and see if they have any yet. I would buy this again, one of my favorite vacuums I've ever bought. I wish the cover for the containment canister was a little more secure, mine has broken and even though it still seals, sometimes it gets dropped into the garbage can when emptying the dirt. Now if this vacuum was as smooth moving as a Dyson (it really does, I love using my mom's, I thought about stealing it) with the on switch you can choose to lock on that this vacuum has with a fair price (there's no reason these little vacuums should cost as much as a decent fridge or washer and dryer, a car or mortgage payment). Even though I don't think this brand should be as expensive as it is, (I have a $40 upright canister vac I've had about 15 years now and it still works great and even though it has a hardwood flooring setting it doesn't do that well on non carpeted floors. Which has led to my hunt for a great vacuum that doesn't cause me pain to use. I shouldn't hurt the 2+ days after doing the floors) it's cheaper than a Dyson but cleans as well as the Dyson, that's the reason we got this one. I'm still happy with it, but wouldn't turn a Dyson down if I received it as a gift lololUPDATE 8/24/22I forgot to mention that in order to get under furniture without the head tilting, bend down and turn your hand 1/4 turn and it will lay flat. If you1/4 turn left the head will want to go left, same with the right turn going right. So you can get underneath furniture that doesn't have great clearance, you can get how ever the highth of the head. I'm able to get under the dressers that have that gap at the bottom.AND BTW - I'm still loving it and I'm glad I got the extra battery with the added bonus the spare battery holder on top of the wall caddy also charges, so when I've had to use turbo extra or I've just been vacuuming that long (it's amazing that the teenager never has to change the battery the whole time she's vacuuming the same floors I am lol), I pop the charged battery in the vacuum and pop the dead battery up top so it'll be ready the nextday or even later the same day depending on how long it's been charging. I honestly don't know how long it takes to charge. Guess I should look that up so I can time it every once in a while to see if they're still maintaining a charge and if not, how fast is. That would be good information for a future update!
